Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Saw Operator to join our team in Green Bay. As part of our industrial category, this full-time position involves:
- Set up and operate power-driven circular, abrasive, and band saws
- Start saws and safely feed materials through the equipment
- Cut various types of wood to specified dimensions
- Measure and verify finished pieces using micrometers, gauges, and rulers
- Examine pieces for defects, chipped edges, and marred surfaces
- Make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and accuracy
- Sharpen saw blades using an abrasive wheel when needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and production requirements
Job Requirements
- Basic math skills
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand and move throughout the entire shift
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Previous saw or manufacturing experience is preferred, but we will train the right person
